Jorge Angell is the senior partner of L.C. RODRIGO ABOGADOS, specialized in corporate and commercial law, private international law, litigation and arbitration. Born on August 15, 1946. Graduated in Law in 1971. Member of the Madrid (Spain) and Lima (Perú) Law Societies. He practices in Madrid since January 1974.

Jorge Angell is the legal advisor and the secretary of the Board of Directors of several companies. Likewise he is actively involved in corporate law matters, particularly in companies’ acquisitions, and in litigation and arbitration of all kind of commercial matters, including insurance and reinsurance. He has frequently acted as expert in Spanish law before foreign courts, especially English and US courts, and as party counsel in domestic and international arbitrations.

He is a frequent lecturer and moderator in conferences and seminars. Author of several articles on corporate, contract, insurance, civil liability and civil/commercial litigation matters.

Member of the following LPD Committees of the International Bar Association: Business Organizations, Insurance, and Litigation (Co-chair for the period 2006/2007). He is also a member of the Federation of Defence and Corporate Counsel (FDCC), in which he serves as President of the International Practice and Law Section and Vice President of the Reinsurance, Excess and Surplus Lines Section of said organization. Member of SEAIDA (the Spanish section of the Association Internationale de Droit de Assurances - AIDA -) and of the Spanish Arbitration Club.

He was nominated in the 2001 Guide to the World’s Leading Litigation Lawyers; the 2002 and 2006 Guide to the World’s Leading Insurance and Reinsurance Lawyers and the 2006 Guide of Experts in Commercial Arbitration, of the Expert Guides Series published by Legal Media Group. He has also been nominated in The International Who’s Who of Commercial Litigators 2004 and 2006 editions published by Law Business Research Limited.

He has substantial experience in insurance and reinsurance matters, litigation and arbitration, consumer law and product liability. He is counsel for several insurance and reinsurance companies.

Member of SEAIDA (the Spanish section of the Association Internationale de Droit de Assurances - AIDA -) and of the Spanish Arbitration Club.

Miguel Torres was born on 17 February 1970. Graduated in Law from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 1993. LLM from Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main (Germany) in 1995.

Member of the Madrid Law Society since 1996, Miguel Torres is specialized in court litigation and arbitration involving commercial matters, civil liability in general and product liability, particularly in Insurance law. He has acted as an expert in Spanish law before foreign courts and the Court for Sports in Laussane (Switzerland). He also has been actively involved in mergers and acquisitions and in the sale of companies and other assets.

Miguel is author or co-author of several articles on litigation and civil liability issues, cooperates actively in the organization of law seminars and is a frequent lecturer in conferences. He is a member of Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats (AIJA), where he was awarded with the Past Presidents Award two times (2003 and 2004) for his contribution to the technical sessions. He speaks Spanish, English and German fluently.
